A morning in tea country

Clipped rows of tea rolling over a hillside

Tea has grown on these hills since the 1880s, and the clipped rows still cover almost every slope you can see. A slow morning among them is the simplest way to understand Munnar.

Walk the plantation

Our plantation walks are leisurely strolls among the tea and cardamom, with time to stop and look back down the valley.

Visit the tea museum

The museum tells the story of Munnar tea from the first estates. It is closed on Mondays.

Bring some home

Several of our itineraries end with an hour shopping for tea and spices. Ask the travel desk where to go.
